The William N. Williford Distinguished Visiting Professorship (DVP) was established at UTHSC in 1997.  This annual lecture in the Department of Ophthalmology focuses on recent updates and improvements in the field to educate both faculty and trainees, as well as foster the advancement of the delivery of healthcare to improve patient outcomes.
