In this free event, Dr. Loyd will address the complexity of treating opiate-dependency in the pregnant population. We will look at the role of genetics, trauma, and opportunity in the development of opiate addiction. Dr. Loyd and other speakers will discuss initiatives and support available for helping those with substance misuse as well as the eat/sleep/console concept implemented with neonatal abstinence syndrome.
