In this session, we will discuss the educational tool of scaffolding including what it is and how to use it. We will review various types of scaffolding and provide examples as to how scaffolding can be implemented in both didactic sessions as well as clinical learning environments. We will also briefly review effective questioning and checking for understanding as these tools help allow scaffolding to be most successful.
