Come behind the rope into the Restricted Section! Visit the Health Science Historical Collections Open House on November 15, between 11am to 2pm in Room 508 of the of Library and see treasures from the archives including:

  • A copy of Andreas Vesalius' De Humani Corporis Fabrica Libri Septem printed from the original 1543 woodblocks
  • A 1660 edition of William Harvey's groundbreaking work on the circulation of the blood, Exercitatio Anatomica de Motu Cordis et Sanguinis in Animalibus 
  • The oldest book in our collection, a Latin translation of Galen's work on the pulse printed in 1537
