Join us at noon on Thursday, August 22, in the SAC Schreier Auditorium for a Conversation on Health Disparities with Sharon Gartrell of NAMI Memphis. Ms. Gartrell is a disabled US Army veteran and a long time advocate and board member of NAMI Memphis. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is a grass-roots organization that seeks to improve quality of life for people with mental illness, their families, and communities. Ms. Gartrell will be joining us to talk about her work with NAMI, as well as how common mental health diagnoses can lead to isolation and stigma. Lunch will be served to those who RSVP by 5 PM on Tuesday, August 20, so please RSVP in Engage here: https://uthsc.campuslabs.com/engage/event/10207337
