The Hamilton Eye Institute Summer Research Student Symposium is our 3rd annual event showcasing not only the cutting edge research being performed in both the clinical and basic science groups at the Hamilton Eye Institute, but also the bright and talented undergraduate, graduate, and medical students and resident fellows who assisted in performing the groundbreaking work of UTHSC Ophthalmology. The symposium is divided into a morning and an afternoon session with lunch served in between. Lunch is first come-first served and we do ask that those eating lunch remain for part or all of the talks. The morning session will consist primarily of basic science research and the afternoon session will be comprised primarily of clinical research talks. The symposium will be held in the 930 Madison Building 3rd Floor Freeman Conference Room. It will begin with opening remarks at 9:00 AM by Drs. Monica Jablonski and T.J. Hollingsworth and the talks will start at 9:10 AM. Each speaker will have 15 to 18 minutes for their talk with 2 to 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Lunch will begin at 12:30 PM with talks restarting at 1:30 PM for the afternoon session and ending at 5:00 PM. We look forward to seeing any and all who wish to join us. The symposium is open to all UTHSC faculty, staff and students as well as up to two guests for each speaker including relatives and close friends. There will also be a Zoom option for those wishing to view the talks but unable to come physically.
