In observance of Native American Heritage Month (NAHM), the Office of Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity will host Fawn Galvan and Randy Solomon for a fascinating seminar (titled, “ Our Dance Connects”) as they present in their hand-made Native American regalia to explain how its symbolism and colors connect to their tribal affiliations, family roles, storytelling, art, health/healing, commitment to environmental sustainability, mindfulness, socialization and dance with songs in authentic indigenous languages. Open discussion is encouraged afterwards to help others understand and connect with Native American perspectives.
