Dr. Feng Liu-Smith earned her PhD in Genetics and has conducted extensive research in molecular biology and cancer epidemiology, with a particular focus on cutaneous melanoma. She joined the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2020 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. Her current research centers on sex dimorphism in melanoma, leveraging large-scale datasets such as the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI), All of Us Research Program, and TCGA genomics data to uncover biologically driven survival disparities.
