Psychiatric comorbidities in functional neurological disorders (FND) can deeply affect children and families in underrepresented communities, where access to care is often limited. Dr. Tracee Ridley-Pryor will explore how conditions like anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders exacerbate FND symptoms, increasing functional impairment and stress. Dr. Ridley-Pryor will also discuss the importance of integrated care approaches to improve outcomes and alleviate the burden on these families.
