The Regenerative and Rehabilitation Sciences Division in the College of Health Professions welcomes Dr. Quan Zhang. He is a second-year PhD student in the Regenerative and Rehabilitation Sciences track of the Integrated Biomedical Sciences Program at UTHSC. His primary adviser is Dr. James Carson. Dr. Zhang will present his current research project examining the regulation of skeletal muscle mass by growth and tumor-derived factors. His presentation will focus on in vitro analysis of mTOR and BMP signaling for autophagy regulation during muscle growth and atrophy.
