The Regenerative and Rehabilitation Sciences Division in the College of Health Professions welcomes Alexis Nelson, MS. She is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Regenerative and Rehabilitation Sciences track of the Integrated Biomedical Sciences Program at UTHSC. Her primary adviser is Dr. William Mihalko, who is the J. R. Hyde Chair of Excellence in Rehabilitation Engineering in the Department of Orthopaedics and Biomedical Engineering.  Alexis will present her current research examining muscle activation patterns after reverse total shoulder arthroplasty.

 

Her seminar is titled “Muscle Activation Patterns during Active External Rotation after Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty: An Electrophysiological Study of the Teres Minor and Associated Musculature
