Dr. Lorson will discuss early-stage development of important reagents for drug discovery, partnerships with biotech/pharma companies, the development of his startup biotech company based on intellectual property from his academic lab, and two drug-development collaborations between his academic and company labs.

Dr. Lorson’s lab has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Defense and a variety of disease-specific foundations. He is the co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Shift Pharmaceuticals.
